Mini-Review:

On Tuesday, we had tickets to see The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. There’s another post all about that so look for it. Before going to the show, we stopped into Hello Deli which is owned by Rupert Jee. Jee became famous for being one of David Letterman’s Late Show neighbors and appeared very often on the show. When we stopped in, he was there and was incredibly nice. Just a great interaction. Asked us about why were were visiting and all that. I told him I was a long-time fan (I still remember when Dave would have him gear up with glasses and an earpiece and would essentially be Dave’s avatar). The food was great, too. I got a New Yorker Club with corned beef and pastrami. The meat was stacked nice and high. If you’re looking for a good sandwich while in this area of town, go visit Rupert Jee.
