Sunday Dinner, part 2

Serendipity 3

225 East 60th Street,
New York, NY 10022

Menu Items Ordered:

  • The Ultimate Potato Skins
  • Frrrozen Hot Chocolate

While in the area of Manhattan we were already in, we decided to try out this frozen hot chocolate thing that was mentioned in the Serendipity movie. So after a short walk over to Serendipity 3 and then a long wait to get in, we decided to split one of these drinks as well as a plate of potato skins. It was crazy nuts in there as far as how busy it was. The wait staff was great and supremely patient although the host was less than friendly. Our expectation was that both items we ordered would come out at the same time, but the Frrrozen Hot Chocolate came out first. And it wasn’t until we were done with it that the potato skins came out. The drink was really good. Tasted like hot chocolate, but had a slushy feel to it. The whipped cream on top was thick though. It would have been great with hot hot chocolate. Janay was not a fan of the whipped cream, but I dug it. The potato skins were loaded. Topped with all sorts of greatness including mashed potato. There was a little side cup of chili, too. Fun little jaunt in. I do wish we had sat in the larger dining area. We were right next to the area where they dumped dirty dishes. Oh well.
