Nerd Lunch Podcast 50: Ask Us Anything

Ask not... by Comicbase
We cap off the first year of the Nerd Lunch podcast with a session of Ask Us Anything where questions from some of our listeners fill the role of the 4th chair. We tackle pressing issues such as our favorite Starfleet captain, last meal choices, dream guests, why the 80s are so popular, and more. Our Nerd To-Dos really run the gamut this week by including bothThe Chronicles of Narnia and Piranha 3DD.

Thanks for the feedback guys. We're looking forward to Episode 51 and beyond.

Jack, I was talking about a used or refurbished NES. I know "new" ones go for outrageous money, but I don't that would be necessary. When I sold my NES about 9 years ago they were buying them for $50-$75 and turning them around for $100-$125. I figure a couple hundred bucks would snag a system in good shape today, though getting good quality controllers might be a problem.

I hoped to have the player issues fixed this week, everybody, but there was some illness in the Casa de Jeeg and I haven't gotten around to it yet. Hopefully soon.

Let me first air my grievance: Your new carrier will not play your podcast in any configuration on my laptop. Fortunately, Pax carries it on Cavalcade, and his feed works just fine. Thanks to the mighty Holley, I am able to be giving you this standing ovation. Too bad you can't see it; it's tres cool!

Couple of points inspired by your rantings hereon: How much do you think the NES is at Gamestop? 'Cause about two years ago, one sold for $1,100 and change on e-bay.

Best Starfleet captain? Look, any dillhole with a neon jumpsuit can point at a star on the viewscreen and say, "Go there." The real question is, who do you want looking studly in the command chair when the Borg come a'calling? Hint: There's only one right answer, and it ain't that social worker, Picard!

Awesome, as always, gentlemen; you make nerdin' fun!
