Nerd Lunch Podcast 100: Fourth Chair Carryover Question Review

Break out the Doritos and Mountain Dew, the Nerd Lunch Podcast had reached triple digits! It’s episode 100 and to celebrate, CT, Jeeg and Pax welcome the two other members of the Nerd Lunch Family. Joining as guests are Nerd Lunch blog co-founder PLee and Nerd Lunch: The Web Series co-host Savannah Staverosky. However, the show honors many of our past guests by including a look back at several Fourth Chair Carryover Questions from the past year. Find out who never watched Saturday Morning cartoons, who doesn’t like Seth Rogen, who (sort of) ran a 5K to save the Clock Tower, who watched the royal wedding and who likes Foofur a bit too much. (Okay, the picture above might answer that last question.) Also…who is ‘Saint Cosplay’? All that and more!

With this episode, we end “season 2” of the show and we’ll be taking a slight break before returning with episode 101. Look for bonus content in the meantime and we’ll be back with new, full episodes soon.

Special thanks to everyone listed below for awesome questions that we had fun revisiting on this episode:

Lots of fun – great to hear the gang back together. Congrats on a huge milestone and thanks for having me on in the 4th chair as always!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! This was a very fun, very question-filled episode! Great way to ring in the big 1-0-0 and have some of the Fourth Chair Army return. I'm glad my question made it on. I couldn't remember asking a decent question. And great answer from Savannah.

Again, congrats and I'm glad I get to call myself part of the Fourth Chair Army.

Epic, dudes! A wonderful celebration of some great friendships, though I have to say that someone coming to this episode as their first contact is going to feel very much the outsider. Okay, let me touch on a few points that caught my ear…

First, Savannah, wonderful to hear you expressing some of your views. I really enjoyed the web series, and loved the breath of, for want of a better term, sanity that you tried to restrain CT with. Alas, not all of our experiments are destined for success…

Plee, I loved the A-Team! I loved Booker T and the M.G.s! You must produce this series at once, and it must appear daily on a not-Fox network! We're way overdue for something to eclipse Firefly as the greatest "buddies" show of all time…

As a child of the 60s, I have to go with Kirk's Enterprise, even though Picard's universe was so much more fleshed out. There were an awful lot too damned many rules there. As long as he held to the Prime Directive, Kirk's motivation for anything, as nearly as I could tell, was, "Will this be fun?" For my function, I'll just stick with my real-life military training as a communications specialist; working under Uhura has its attractions, whether in Roddenberry's vision, or Abrams'…

Finally, Nerd Lunch in all its incarnations has been a welcoming harbor for me throughout my tenure on the Web, and I intend to celebrate your 100th via a reviewish post on my own blog. I have something I have to do first (isn't that always it?), but give me a few hours, and come on over. And congratulations on a fabulous body of work. I've had a ball!
