Nerd Lunch Podcast 130: First Favorite TV Show Theme Songs

Come and knock on our door, we got streaks on the China and what would we do baby without us? The Nerd Lunch Podcast welcomes back William Bruce West and we have what we’re calling the “First Favorite TV Show Theme Songs” discussion. The crew chats about some of their favorite cartoon, sitcom, action, and drama theme songs. With sample clips, this might be our most copyright infringiest show yet! Also, we do something we rarely do and talk current events by following up on recent late night talk show news and Star Wars news. Nerd To-Dos include a double dose of murder mystery games and a double dose of Fringe.

I don't recall Thundercats being mentioned.

I do kiss my mother with this mouth, Jack. But she can swear in ways that would make a sailor blush so it probably doesn't matter.

I have not watched Tabletop yet, but that is exactly where my cousin Peeg learned about Betrayal at House on the Hill. At some point I really need to get over my irrational dislike of Wil Wheaton, though I'm not sure I'm ready to do that yet.

Cheers, the extended version, only played for the "century" shows. I had to change my shorts right after they crooned, "…and your husband wants to be a girl." Not that funny in print, but they slip it in so subtly, it's a real gut-buster when it takes you by surprise.

Stars still do TV themes, maybe not as much, but Barenaked Ladies, Big Bang Theory.

Jeeg, I am shocked, shocked and dismayed! "Sucks ass??" "Piss and vinegar???" You kiss your mother with that mouth? But seriously, I bumped into Wil Wheaton on his YouTube podcast (if that's the term), Tabletop, where he reviews boardgames. He's very personable, not at all like the jerk he plays on Big Bang Theory. If you haven't seen it, you have a pleasant surprise waiting for you.

Well done again, guys. Keep it up!

Great episode guys but I can't believe Josey and the Pussycats didn't come up. Also did I ever tell you about my strange obsession with creating lyrics for shows with just music?

Here comes Sanford, here comes Sanford and son driving in a red pickup truck, they haul away your gar–bage.

Far more creative then my A-Team lyrics:
We're the A-Team, ba da da dum
We're the A-Team, ba da da da dum.
