Star Wars lost me when Lucas turned it into a series of unvarnished two-hour toy commercials; he should have to pay each theater for each showing. Naturally, I don't have a whole lot to say on the subject, but I can say that I listened to this whole 2-1/2 hour production, and found your comments insightful and thought-provoking. Imagine how it sounds when you're on a subject that I'm into! So as if you weren't aware, excellent work you're doing here, and please keep it up! I did want to mention one point: You discussed early in the podcast at least some of the characters being weak. As all writers know, and I know that Michael, at least, is one of them, that characters are fiction, and if your characters are weak, there is no level of skill that will save your book from mediocrity. I suppose the movie correlation is that there is no amount of explosions, flashing lights, and zap guns that will save your movie from mediocrity. Great job, as always, guys. All the best! Jack T.
